Neighbor used a 1 inch PVC pipe and laid it on the ground using the 10 ft included flexible pipe from the rv. He seemed to like how that worked.

I used to have a shop that removed powdercoating, and your wheel clear is clear powdercoating. As noted above it is not a easy procedure to remove, prep and recoat a used wheel. When new, a much simpler process. Overall, for looks it would be less expensive to purchase a new set and start over. Might want to hunt for some take offs from a rv dealer where someone want a different wheel and removed the ones that came with the trailer. When I had a 5th wheel I upgraded from 16 inch to 17.5 inch wheels and tires. Sold my almost new set to a fellow wanting to improve his set up.

I always check AutoTempest to see what cars are selling for that I'm looking at. It is a search engine that checks all the major listings, Ebay, craigslist . cars.com, Carvana and more. No cost to you, and its fast.

CA Traveler brings up some very valid points. I watch a You tube couple that inspect rv's and they sure opened our eyes as to the condition the trailers are being handed off to the new owners. They use the term PDI, as probably didn't inspect and that is the case. So when you pay the dealer and go camping the first time and the things that would have been found with a rv inspector were just kind of missed by the dealer folks and you get to deal with the driving back and leaving the new rig. Could be a lot of hardships for you over the warranty period.

I own a Tesla and would like to take it with us on the trips we take. But you can't flat tow so it has to be on a trailer. That makes taking it along a problem as a trailer has to be purchased. Then not all rv parks are set up for ease of parking the motorhome and trailer. I do see many trailers behind MH's but it just isn't something we are wanting to do at this time. Flat towing the car we do take is Sooo easy.

A lot will depend on how comfortable you want to be once you unhook whatever it is your towing and drive around. We looked at a lot of smaller vehicles and decided on comfort, so bought a 2015 Cadillac SRX in 2015. After setting it up with Blue Ox and a braking system, have had about 40,000 trouble free miles dragging it behind 4 different motorhomes.

I also go with the if we can't pay cash, we don't buy. But we also take the time to look at what spending less would get you and if it isn't giving you the same good feeling, why settle for what isn't your first choice. We also say, well we are not getting any younger, and have no kids. So anything we have left when the time comes goes to charities. Why let them go first class and not us? We/you are the ones who worked and saved for the ability to buy what will make you happy. I say go for it...

Lots of real good infromation here, and on other rv forums. Suggest going slow and really see the areas your stopping in, we did and had a blast. Full time traveled 8 years in a 5th wheel. One of your biggest expenses will be fuel if your traveling a lot. We tried to sit in a park for at least 1 week and normally 2 before we moved along about 300 miles and then did it again. Might want to plan now for a winter spot as many rv parks are filling up with reservations. Enjoy the adventure.

Search some You tube videos to answer your question. There are a lot of very unhappy folks who purchased from the Big Guys....but you get to decide. I like the small mom and pop places for personal service and care after the sale.

Had a 2018 new 34 ft Holiday Rambler V-10 that we towed a car behind. Hated the way it drove, like a slight wander back and forth TILL I added the rear trac bar. Installed it myself and fixed the wander. Keeps the rear axle planted under the rig and to us was well worth the price.

If you walk into most banks and try to get anywhere near that amount of cash they are probably going to tell you they don't have it. Has to be ordered and that is on their next delivery, in most places once a week. Been there done that. Tried to pay for a Class C with almost 40 grand cash out of my account. Hit 4 different branches as each one would only give me about 4 or 5 grand. Ended up giving the seller about 24 grand in cash and a bank check for the balance. This was the same bank he used, and after he called to verify I was telling the truth he was OK with this transaction. Best of luck to you

On my rig there happens to be carpet in the slide I was working with so I pulled it up and stuck some wires along the base board mldg. That was easy for us.

Just an suggestion, since your right at the max load for the trailer to keep a close eye on your tire pressure, should be running the max cold tire pressure. Those tires will be working hard all the time.

We had a 1000 trails membership for about 10 or 11 years. Got our use and tried to list it for sale, at that time there was either a $500 or $750 charge for the new buyer to pay. Plus the yearly fee that seemed to be going up. After a few weeks of trying, I listed it for free to anyone wanting to step up and pay those acquisition fees. A couple that were just starting out on the full time lifestyle said heck yea, and they got it. Things may be different now, but that is what we did.

Well would it be an issue, only way to really tell is to know what amount of weight would case an issue. Scales would tell you what your rig weights now, and then you figure how close you are to the gross allowable weight. If a couple of boxes of tile will put you at or over that number, then your stuck, NO. But it would be my guess would not make one bit of difference. They make a glue that the motorhome manufacturers are using so contacting them for what is best would be my suggestion.

If you have never towed a 5th wheel trailer before, you might consider doing some basic practice in a large parking lot. Pick up some cone/cans or buckets as something to gage the way that new to you trailer will cut the corners. Lay the cones/buckets out as curbs and try to see if you can turn the corner without hitting them. When we first got a 5th wheel I hired a driving instructor to help teach us how to drive it safely. Don't know about the route your asking about but I think others will answer about that. Safe travels.
